This home had a dying lawn and a dated tree ring around a melaleuca that had roots sprawling in all directions.  The lawn was replaced with drought tolerant plants, stacked flagstone seat wall and flagstone steppers with dymondia planted between.  The homeowner wanted butterflies & hummingbirds to be attracted to the yard.   Sage, lavender, rosemary, kangaroo paw were put in the front while the backyard slope was planted with more butterfly loving plants like milkweed, lantana, butterfly bush etc.  The client says her neighbors stop and say it looks like a botanical garden!
